( % 0.00) I sent them to Luxottica with all of the necessary information only to be told that it is not a manufacture defect; the frames could not be repaired and that I could buy new frames for half off the original price. ( % 20.00) Same details as everybody else; telephone prompts, then being told office is closed due to bad weather. ( % -23.13) Then calling back more times to hear they are to busy, call back another time, or being cut off, during transfer to an agent, or being misinformed about parts available for my RayBan and I am still waiting months now for a simple lens replacement and offered % off a new pair at LensCrafters. Beware of Luxottica. ( % 0.00) I sent in to Luxottica a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses for slight frame straightening and replacement of generic side arm ear pads on October of this year. ( % -8.33) I waited two months and heard not a word from them. ( % 0.00) I then called twice and spoke to two different reps who said my sunglasses could not be repaired because that style was no longer being produced. ( % 0.00) They claimed they received my sunglasses with two cracked lenses. ( % 0.00) They had already cashed the check I sent them for handling. Approximately months ago, I purchased a pair of Ray-Bans. ( % -40.00) The rubber 'tip' end of the earpiece came off the other one was not even glued on or adhered in any way. I bought some decent polarized sunglasses from Solstice in the Glendale Galleria, Christmas of . ( % 16.67) Toward the end of November , the frame above the lens just snapped while it was on my face. I have been wearing RayBan Baloramas for over years. ( % 0.00) The old USA made B&L types were very heavy-duty; -barrel hinges, pinned through the frame and earpieces, and the earpieces were metal reinforced. ( % 15.00) The newer Luxottica Italian made Baloramas, up until two years ago, had very inferior -barrel hinges that are just molded into the plastic during injection molding. When you spend money for a name brand product like RayBan's, you should also receive top caliber customer support, unfortunately, not with this company. We bought these glasses on Dec to use my insurance benefits. ( % 0.00) I told them I am on VSP Vision Plan. ( % 0.00) They checked everything. ( % 0.00) Took documents like ID, Social Security number etc. ( % 3.33) They told me we are in the official network of VSP which was incorrect. ( % 0.00) They shouldn't have asked for my social. ( % 3.33) Nor do they need to look at my license if they are not in network. ( % 0.00) Also the only reason I went to was to use my insurance plan and otherwise I would not have gone to LensCrafters. ( % 0.00) Once they put in all the things in their system, we were told that they were having some issue in their system, you would have to submit the claim documents yourself but you'll get fully reimbursed including for antiscratch coating and transition lenses. I received a pair of Oakley Bat Wolf as a gift five months ago and first time out with them to the beach lens started to bubble up, I contacted the warranty department and told me that they are not covered under warranty cause their highly skilled techs determined that the damage was not due to defective materials or workmanship and after all this they have balls to try to sell me another pair, I would never buy another product this company handles. I spent almost $ on a really nice pair of Oakley Ski Goggles several years ago. ( % 16.67) I've loved them and have taken really good care of them, however, they got a small crack in the inside lens a few years ago that started at the top edge of the lens and it has continued to get extend down a little bit every year until it reached the bottom edge of the lens. ( % 15.81) I called Oakley to get it warrantied and they confirmed that the goggles had a lifetime warranty and forwarded me to the warranty dept which is Luxottica, a rd party warranty company. Bought some $ RBM SCUDERIA FERRARI's straight from Ray Ban's website with free two day shipping from Shoprunner. ( % 30.00) days later, I received them. ( % 0.00) The package was well wrapped, and everything looked great until I got the glasses out only to find a lens had popped off, the nose piece was slightly bent, and one of the lens had a tiny scratch on it. I see all negative reviews, so I will add my positive one. ( % -3.64) The film on the inside of my Oakley glasses started to peel or become worn. ( % 0.00) I took the required pictures on the website, filled out the claim form and days later I was sent an email that they would cover the cost of warranty. ( % 20.00) While the site say it takes weeks for them to processes a repair. ( % 0.00) I was sent my glasses back in the mail in weeks. First of all I'm reviewing my experience because I saw a lot of bad reviews about this company, so I have to tell my story. I feel that I had to write this because my experience was quite different than most of the reviews on here. Lenses are cut for the frame you buy and will only fit that exact frame so if the frame fails, you are also out the lenses if you can't get the exact frame replaced or repaired. I receive a pair of Ray Bans as a gift in December. ( % 0.00) I usually keep my glasses in the car in their case. ( % -25.00) Within a few months I notice a small crack in the upper left hand of the left lens. ( % -9.00) Everyday the crack would expand until it ran across the entire lens. ( % -10.00) The glasses are only a few months old and have only been worn a handful of times as I usually have my corrective glasses on. ( % -7.00) I sent the glasses back thinking that Luxottica would not have a problem replacing the cracked lens since it was obviously a material defect. ( % 0.00) I was mistaken. ( % 0.00) The best Luxottica will do is charge me $ to repair, or offer me a % discount on a new pair. ( % 56.82) I refuse to do both on principle and have asked them to return the originals. ( % 0.00) I will not put more money into a product that will not last and the company producing them obviously believe so as well. ( % 16.67) I do not recommend purchasing product from a company that does not have faith that their product will last. I ordered a set of replacement lenses for my genuine Bvlgari frames which I purchased from the US, on or around Jan , from a UK company called Optique Vision. ( % 40.00) When the lenses arrived, I discovered they were not the correct size - too small by about mm and slightly squarer on the outside. My son has worked at Sunglass Hut in Danbury, CT for several months now. ( % 0.00) One employee, who now calls herself a manager despite the fact that this is not true, has taken it upon herself to change my son's hours without notice, has discriminated against him due to his sexuality and has now made it public that she can get him fired if she chooses to do so. ( % -10.00) Today, she informed him that his sales were too low to stay at his current position... which she caused by changing his hours and having him close on weekdays, which are historically days and times when sales are lowest. ( % -20.00) I opted for the coupon which they later stipulated that I need to pick up to pairs from their local store and then give them my choices via the phone (which is a mandatory -minute hold time every time you call). I mailed Luxottica my Burberry eyeglasses for repair because after a couple of years of wear, the pin on the hinge fell apart for no apparent reason. After spending in excess of $ on sunglasses in the Sunglass Hut in Canterbury, Kent, I returned to the shop where they tightened and adjusted a set of ladies Chanel glasses. Costa customer service is the worst excuse for a group of inept employees I've ever dealt with. ( % -52.50) After -weeks and three wrong prescription attempts, Costa FINALLY admitted they cannot make my prescription. ( % -30.00) I even went to LensCrafters to confirm my prescription and make notes on pupil distance and segment height, none of which were read by the Costa lab techs. ( % -30.00) If you wear prescription glasses and are in need of prescription sunglasses, do yourself a favor and go anywhere except Costa/Luxottica. ( % 0.00) Their website doesn't work correctly, they send you an empty transcript link that is supposed to detail your order history, their phone sales reps have zero ability to get your orders correctly placed, and their management has an "I don't give a damn" attitude. After one month the visor bolt on my Oakley DRT helmet fell off while riding, trying to even speak to someone at Luxottica/Oakley customer service about sourcing a replacement has been a complete joke. ( % -25.00) She spoke to me as if I was incompetent on tracking a shipment from UPS and I told her I indeed did know how to do that but that the UPS Brokerage Department for customs said the reason the sunglasses were delayed in customs in Philadelphia is because UPS was waiting on an invoice from RayBan to clear the shipment and that they had reached out to Rayban twice trying complete the task. Ordered a gift online (Ray-ban.com) for a friend on Dec.nd, the DHL tracking was showing it was shipped from their hub in Atlanta to my address in British Columbia, Canada. ( % 0.00) A few days later, it stalled on hold in Cincinnati, OH, and ultimately, without sharing any update with me, DHL returned it to the shipper saying that there is a new address for this order. ( % -1.59) Today is Dec. st, and yet no clarification on their end. ( % 0.00) I called customer service, and they were surprised why a package on the way to Canada should be in Cincinnati after days and going back to their stock!!
