I went to this place on // in good faith and ordered my prescription glasses. ( % 70.00) They were very professional that day and I paid $. ( % 13.00) and they told me this will be ready in or weeks. ( % 20.00) As today // I have made three attempts to pick up my glasses and the answer is they have to return to the lab because they made wrong. ( % -50.00) I asked for a resolution and they told me they will give me a temporal glasses while i wait and they did not do that. ( % 0.00) The ******** manager told me he can repair my glasses while i wait and irrespecfully told me that i have to go to buy the glue for that repair. My mother and I had a eye examination at this location on October , and paid for a eye examination for my mother and contact lenses examination for myself that included a trail pair of lenses to make sure that it the right prescription for my vision. Visited the MyEyeDr location on // for an eye checkup. ( % 0.00) Saw Dr. Stephanie M******** and she said my eye exam showed an improvement in my Right eye in which I ware contact for distance. ( % 0.00) She also ask if I had any unopened boxes of the old contacts that were not beyond the expiration date. ( % 10.00) I told her I had boxes that were unopened and she responded with, bring them in and they would give me credit for them on my new purchase of contacts. ( % 13.64) I replied that I would verify the one's I had to make sure they met the criteria she indicated to me and I would return them the next day. I had a small window in which to use my vision insurance I had been paying a year and it ending due to a change of job. ( % -18.75) Myeyedr was the only place that was able to supply safety glasses with trivex lenses. ( % 25.00) I can't abide PC lenses. I first visited myeyedr on march nd for an exam and to order glasses. ( % 25.00) I was told the glasses would take weeks to come in. ( % 0.00) After days I called to check the status and was told that the glasses did not pass inspection and that the "lab" was remaking them and it would take another week. ( % 0.00) When I called one week later, I was told that there was not a problem with the inspection but rather the hold up was an insurance problem and that it would be yet another week. ( % 0.00) After weeks I was able to pick up my glasses but the prescription was wrong and I was not able to wear them. ( % -8.33) After going in for a "re-check" with the doctor, they ordered the glasses again and was told it would be another two weeks meaning I should be able to pick up the glasses on //. ( % 50.00) During my second visit the staff were to busy playing a trivia game to measure the prescription until the doctor asked them were the results were. ( % -10.00) When I called to check the status I was told that they were still at the lab. ( % 0.00) I informed them that I wanted to cancel the order but was told that was not possible. I visited MyEyeDr for an appt on // in Tallahassee, Fl (office *******) I had a great experience w/ the doctor, however, not the same with a staff member. ( % 35.00) I was a st time patient in and ordered a pair of glasses with ********* coating on them. ( % 0.00) This appt, my RX changed & I wanted to order new lenses for the same frames w/ the updated prescription, same coatings & all. My husband (who is a subscriber on my insurance) went for a contact lens exam at the My Eye Doc location in Ridgefield CT on //. ( % 0.00) We received a bill for $ stating the exam was not covered. Sometime between mar and may i visited my eye dr in Charlottesville va in oerder to inquire about new lenses for old glasses. ( % 11.82) Specifically what presciption was needed by the optician for various purposes, and how much i would be out of pocket under the terms of my vision benefit of my anthem medicare plan WHICH I PROVIDED FOR THEIR INVESTIGATION. On May ,, my daughter went for a regular eye exam that we have been doing for the past - years with the same MyEyeDr. ( % -8.33) location. ( % 0.00) In our earlier years, we always refused the extra items they want to sell during our regular eye exam. ( % 0.00) However, this year, I was not there and without getting any verbal or written approval they did do items: a) an eye photo that costs $ which is not really needed for a year old kid. ( % 0.00) I contacted the location the next day, and was given their classical answers that these were standard charges and they even claimed that we approved such charges. I saw my MyEyeDr for my annual appointment for the first time and I tried to contact them twice about concerns I have with their billing practices, but I have yet to hear back and it's been a week. ( % 0.00) Knowing my insurance won't pay for a second pair (contacts count as the first), he acted as though he was getting me a deal, and I told him I really just wanted the cheapest/basic because they charge like double the industry standard for contact lenses and I was already spending a ton of money that day and needed to be frugal. ( % 9.00) He fills out a bunch of paperwork and tells me he's getting me the cheapest pair with free glasses protection and anti reflective coating (which I would NOT have agreed to except he said it was free and part of the included cheapest price)... ( % -30.00) Rather than making a big scene in a room full of people I sent an email that afternoon to the business hoping to resolve the issue - no reply. On February I solicited by different eye glass providers Got quoted and based on this information we selected my eye care DR. April I ended my eye care DR located in Grafton Virginia. ( % 0.00) owed is attached. ( % 0.00) As a year old woman on a fixed income this was this additional bill was quite a shock. ( % 10.00) I was never told at the time of my visit the amount due was an estimate and I could receive an additional bill. ( % 0.00) When I called the MyEyeDr billing phoned number I was basically told, that I owe the $ because that's what my insurance said I owed. ( % 0.00) If that's the case, why did MyEyeDr say my insurance showed a much lower balance when I was there and then strongly encouraged me to add on some expensive options. ( % 0.00) I feel the additional amount MyEyeDr says I owe is at least the result of an error on their part or possibly even unscrupulous upselling to a senior citizen. I went into this location yesterday to get a routine eye exam and some glasses, I also wanted to replace the lenses in two other pairs of glasses. ( % -12.50) The woman at the front desk asked me if I wore contacts, I said yes but that I was just getting frames. ( % 0.00) Once I was taken to the back, before seeing the doctor I was asked what I was getting done, I told her just a routine yearly exam. ( % 0.00) She asked if I wanted to update my contacts prescription, I said that I was only getting frames and asked if it was included in the exam. ( % 0.00) She said that it was but they dont have to do it if I didnt want to, I said sure that we could since it was included. ( % 50.00) The doctor did the exam and told me that my prescription had not changed at all in any way, that I had the exact same vision that Id had the year before but that she wanted to see me try on contacts to make sure they fit well. Yes, On December the th I went to myeyeDr and had an eye exam plus I paid $ because insurance wouldn't pay for it for a new kind of exam that they had going and finished with all of that went to the counter lady sat down with me she going over prices of everything and what all would I like and all this well she gives me one price and everything then whenever I give her my credit card she comes back with the receipt the invoice and it was a total different price it was more it was at closing time so I said nothing I just said thank you and walked out. I have been a patient of my eye Dr since I was about years old and NEVER have I been treated so poorly like my last two interactions with them. I took my children here for their annual exam because their previous optometrist had closed up. ( % -13.33) During their visit they were examined by Dr. Samantha K****** and she advised me that my daughter would need eyeglass but my son would need both frames and contacts so they both picked out frames and my son went through the usage and care of contacts. On February , I had a eye examination and an assessment for prescription eye wear at MyEyeDr in Hendersonville NC. Two things, one I just saw My Eye Doctor and the doctor told me I have the beginning stage of glaucoma yet she did not mention eye drops of provide a prescription to halt it's early progress which is a vital treatment with glaucoma. For the second year in a row, I am having a terrible time getting my glasses delivered correctly and in a timely manner from My Eye Dr. ( % -50.00) I ordered my glasses // from the Gateway Ave location in Chambersburg, PA. As of this complaint, I have yet to receive my glasses as ordered. ( % -30.00) Due to suffering from migraines, I have a special tint I use on my glasses and have gotten this tint from other My Eye Dr locations in the past. ( % -3.57) When I ordered mine from this location, I was told this would not be a problem and the lenses would arrive clear, and they would be tinted in-house however they arrived tinted incorrectly. ( % 10.00) I was then informed rather rudely by the office manager that I could not have anti-glare coating on lenses and have them tinted in-house, but no one informed me of this when the order was placed. ( % -30.00) As such, the lenses were sent back for correction, again expecting to receive a clear lens that would be tinted in-house to match my lenses. ( % 3.33) At this time, I left a pair of my old lenses with the tint for them to match, but the lenses arrived incorrectly tinted. ( % 5.00) I was informed "we matched the tint, but melted the lenses and need new ones." ( % 13.64) So again, they were sent back. ( % 0.00) After not hearing from them, I called the office to find out they did not arrive and now I need to come into the office for tinting, but questioned this because they had a pair of my lenses to match, but was told quite rudely "we do not have these and will call you to set up a time once they arrive" and hung up the phone. In November , I paid Ashburn Eye Care Associates (now part of MyEyeDr. ( % 0.00) on Ashburn Village Boulevard, Ashburn, (does not yet appear on BBB's list of branches in Northern Virginia) $. ( % -20.00) There followed a torturous eight-month saga of repeated visits to the branch to pick up new lenses that were persistently delayed and were never viable. ( % 0.00) New lenses were ordered each time I noted that the lenses were no good and each time I was presented with lies and endless excuses. Roughly or weeks ago, I went into My Eye Dr to file a claim on insurance for replacing my glasses. ( % -10.00) I was in a severe accident where I was ejected from the truck and out of the windshield. ( % -12.50) No response when inquired how long I would be waiting for my glasses. ( % -5.00) Someone in background told her they would call the lab that day & call me that afternoon for an update. ( % 0.00) I received no call from the office. ( % 0.00) Due to delays, poor communication, and my ongoing vision issues, I scheduled a next available appt for a nd opinion from another optometrist at a different vision center, ****** ******. ( % -3.75) This appt occurred on //. ( % 0.00) As per both uploaded scripts, the nd opinion was quite different from MyEyeDr script on //. ( % 0.00) //: emailed MyEyeDr Pt Relations //: Pt Relations emailed me the lab sent wrong lens shape & had to redo them, w/ new ones shipped //. ( % 17.88) //: Went to MyEyeDr w/ the different prescriptions & to request a lens refund due to the script differences and extremely poor communication/service.
