I purchase a Sea Ray SLX-W from dealer. ( % 0.00) Purchase was made via internet. ( % 0.00) MarineMax was suppose to go over and survey said vessel. ( % 0.00) I was told that boat had been gone through completely, all services would be performed on vessel and the prior owner was going to take care of all said repairs as well as have a bow thruster replaced under warranty. ( % 5.00) I was also told that all cushions were with the boat. ( % 0.00) I was told that boat was in tip top condition that hull and upholstery were all in good shape and boat was mechanical in perfect shape. ( % 73.33) Several months later I am told the boat is ready for pick up. ( % 6.67) However on the way to get to boat I am told that a the batteries that control the thrusters are now bad and I am responsible for replacement. ( % -25.00) Keep in mind that MarineMax surveyed said boat and went through it and missed these items. ( % 0.00) Upon arrive to my home area (Nashville) the local dealer has also shown me where the bow thruster was never replaced. ( % 0.00) I believe that they missed the battery issue and had me pay for their mistake. ( % 0.00) Also cushions were not with the boat and I was told that said cushion would be shipped to me. ( % 0.00) Only one cushion ever came and it was damaged and will need to be replaced. ( % 0.00) No services had been done to boat as I was told they would me. ( % 0.00) There are also several issues with the gel coat that I was never made aware of. ( % 12.50) Lastly boat is missing a wake board rack that was in the sales pictures. ( % -10.00) I feel that MarineMax should refund the cost of the batteries since this is clearly something that they missed. ( % 10.00) I should also be sent new cushions at no cost to me as I was clearly told that cushions where with the boat and in good order. ( % 31.21) Lastly I feel that MarineMax should also repay me for cost of services perform by local dealer that they misrepresented that they had actually done, as well as cost to repair areas of gel coat that were not disclosed, and missing wake board rack. First, I wanted to send this directly to MarineMax but it is impossible to find a way to email the corporate headquarters. ( % -7.92) I contacted the service dept. ( % 0.00) I went to the office on the th and sat down with Steven and he wrote up the items of concern. ( % -15.56) Told me to bring the boat over the morning of the th at a.m. and tie off at the end of the dock. ( % 0.00) On the th i brought the boat in and docked it. ( % 0.00) Went to the office Steven was unavailable, I signed off on the repair ticket and left. ( % 0.00) Jose called me - days later and said the boat was ready to go. ( % 10.00) He said everything was done except the fuel gauge, it was on back order. We took our pontoon in to have annual service ($) at MarineMax Georgia.The boat was working, however we bought the boat used and have had it for years.During service MarineMax was unscrewing bolts and the bolt(s) severed and dropped into the lower unit.MarineMax is asking us to pay the full amount ($) to rebuild the lower unit where these bolts dropped as they cannot extract them.They asked that we file to see if our insurance will cover, they denied due to damage done during servicing of the boat.I asked for MarineMax's general liability and they will not provide it.MarineMax is not willing to accept any responsibility.I have contacted them by phone and email, they have had our boat for almost months for service work they said would take - days.I do not feel that the full cost of repair work (that they caused) should be all of our responsibility. I purchased a Boston Whaler Conquest from Marine Max with warranties of years on motors and an extended warranty for years. ( % 0.00) I bought this boat used because of these reasons. ( % 0.00) When I went to purchase I put offer in my name. ( % 0.00) my account suggested for IRS issues it might be best to list it in Charter business we had just established for use of the boat. ( % 100.00) The sales person ***** in Sarasota did not make mention That I would lose these warranties if boat was used to charter. ( % 0.00) After several months I was informed from Mercury That my warranty would be canceled due to chartering boat. ( % -6.25) This was the icing on the cake as far as damages. ( % 10.00) I took boat in April after a steering failure had that repaired and had hour service performed on boat at venice MM. Bought a new Galeon HTC Yacht on // from Marinemax Seabrook **. ( % 13.64) salesman Skip P. Now after years of constant warranty issues still being addressed, the Fischer Panda mini generator stopped working on May while leaving South Shore Marina into Clear Lake getting about miles out on the way for a hour trip that had to cancel due to no AC. ( % -0.83) Emailed and texted marinemax Service no reply, so we called the manufacturers warranty local agent for Fischer Panda Advanced Marine agent Linn who came out the next morning and found oil good but water in controll box that no one can explain how it got there and charged me . ( % 27.50) to order parts and to inform me the the Fischer Panda generator was out of warranty due to it being a *** model generator with different serial numbers and different model numbers and different years on the generator and out of warranty due to the age even if we purchased the new yacht years ago. ( % -1.89) July st Still no parts and now after leaving the Yacht at the Marinemax docks for repairs since the May incident the engine is full of water which no one can explain only to accuse sabotage by someone never mentioned who and not covered under warranty and not willing to do anything and the product fraud of selling a Yacht with a *** generator that does not run and is labeled as discussed above. Took my Boston Whaler to Marine Max Ocean View NJ for repairs Sept . ( % 0.00) When driving the boat over RPM for some time the engine starves for fuel. ( % 0.00) The tachometer goes down to RPM and back up to RPM at a fast pace. ( % 1.48) When I open the fuel door the tank will then vent, and I am able to get back to the marina at RPM. ( % 16.67) I explained this to the service manager when I dropped off the boat for repairs. ( % 0.00) A week later I was called and told the problem was a loose negative battery cable and the boat was ready for pick up. ( % -4.42) I tried to explain that this could not be the problem. ( % 0.00) I was charged $. ( % 0.00) for this. ( % 0.00) I picked up the boat put it in the water, and it had the same running problem. ( % 0.00) I took a video of the tachometer showing the running problem and returned the boat the same day. ( % 0.00) A week later I was called and told the boat was repaired and it had a bad gas filter and that was causing the running problem. ( % -35.00) I was charged $. ( % 0.00) for this. ( % 0.00) I picked up the boat and put it away for the winter. ( % 0.00) When I put the boat in the water in June it still had the same running problem. ( % 0.00) After dropping off the boat I contacted Boston Whaler customer service about the problem, and they sent me an email that said the problem was the two vents on the gas tank. ( % 0.00) I called Marine Max and forwarded the email to Lisa R. and she told me she would give it to the service manager. ( % 0.00) After two weeks I received an email saying the boat was ready for pick up. ( % 20.00) I called Marine Max and was told there is nothing wrong with the boat and I owed $. I have a Whaler with full extended warranties. ( % 35.00) I have used Marine Max Pompano twice this past year for warranty repair and service. ( % -25.00) First, don't buy a boat here if you expect service. ( % 25.00) I had to wait to weeks to get an appointment. ( % 0.00) They kept my boat for more than a month each time, and each time repairs were missed, not done, ignored, or done poorly. ( % 5.00) After my last visit, they told me I had bad batteries so I approved replacement over the phone, only to find out when I picked up the boat, it had been left with power on, not plugged in, and nobody attending to it for weeks (no wonder they were dead). ( % -18.00) When I picked up the boat, they said they updated the CZone on their own initiative. ( % 60.00) When I boarded, I noted all kinds of glitches. ( % 0.00) Richard brought a guy on for about an hour and tried to fix with his computer, and all they could do was tell me to leave the boat or they would quote me on sending someone to my dock to fix the problem, as software was not covered on warranty....well they did the update and caused the subsequent glitches. ( % 0.00) They phoned me a few days later to quote . ( % -10.00) for a tech to come and fix the issue they caused. ( % 0.00) In addition, there were more things broken when I picked up the boat than when I left it. ( % 3.33) They keep boats sitting there weeks on end, unlocked, keys inside, power on, not plugged in, they don't DOUBLE CHECK their work, and they don't address half the problems and just send you a report that says it was checked and operational...until you pick up the boat and find that not to be true upon use. ( % 6.11) Since my last visit in August, I decided to just fix many of the warranty issues myself, unless it is something serious, because I can't afford to have Marine Max mess up my boat or keep on their dock for months at a time doing nothing but damage. ( % 0.00) Brunswick owns Marine Max, Boston Whaler, and Mercury Marine which manufacture the part in question which is a lower unit for the engine. ( % 0.00) They stated today that the parts in question was needed for new boat manufacture and was not available for repairs. In December , I was negotiating the purchase of a used boat from Marine Max in ********** on I-. ( % 0.00) The sales rep at this dealership was ***********************. ( % 0.00) After the nd sea trial, I asked ***** if he would reglue the sea dek on the swim platform which was about to fall off. ( % 0.00) I also asked him if he could tighten the fasteners on the ****** bracket. ( % 0.00) He said he would. ( % 0.00) I have a message from ***** saying he would handle the sea dek. ( % 0.00) When I arrived at the dealership the day of pickup, the ****** bracket had not been secured nor had the sea dek been reglued. ( % 0.00) ***** was on vacation but the attending employees said ***** had glued it. ( % 0.00) While I was in route to pick the boat up, I asked the service advisor (*****************) to see if he could put some grease in the trailer bearings since I had a little trip to take the boat back home.. ( % 2.08) He said he attempted to take the bearing cap off but was afraid he would break the hub. ( % -60.00) This is a service adviser that has been with Marine Max yrs telling me this. ( % 0.00) A reputable dealership would have offered to put some grease in a few bearings but I was quickly learning what kind of company I was confronted with. ( % 30.83) After all, I was buying a boat and the owner of that boat was paying this dealer $,. ( % 0.00) to sell it (per ***********************). ( % 25.00) So I will overlook the ****** bracket and bearing issues since they were easily resolved. ( % 43.33) The sea dek took me hours to clean/reglue and required parts as well. ( % 0.00) I have included pics of the products used and the cleaning required prior to regluing the material. ( % 0.00) The non skid deck under the sea dek had never been cleaned and any attempt to glue it prior to using acetone and soap would have failed (and it did fail). I bought my brand new boat and its been a nightmare, I bought the boat and since new it's been a problem, water gets under it, they took it to fix it and they returned it to me without solving it. ( % 13.64) They damaged the formica of the fridge,, ( Venere) they broke the leather panel, the anchor door doesn't work properly, and it still doesn't work, I bought the boat a month ago, and I've lived a nightmare, the worst service in history and I have a new boat full of problems, they damaged a part of the floor and they tell me that it is in back order, the worst thing that has happened to me was making the decision to buy in this Marine.
