I've had some great cameras in the past and this is a beast for the price! Can't complain ( % 0.00) As with most (MOST) CANON cameras there's not much negative things to say about it ( % 38.33) I've only had it for a few weeks, it's super light compared to full body DSLR Cameras and I love this thing the flip out/rotating screen ( % 23.06) Its great for getting the perfect shot! I'd recommend buying a bigger lens as the included lens doesn't have much zoom, but is great for vlogging, selfies or getting that awkward shot! It works well but the batteries discharge quickly ( % 33.33) Before buying this, I had one of the original M series cameras as well as a full size DSLR ( % 36.25) I sold the M camera largely because it used short lived LP-E batteries, which would discharge in less than a day while in use, requiring me to carry a freshly charged backup battery when carrying the camera for long periods, such as while on vacation ( % 4.96) Then I replaced the full size DSLR with the M, because I wanted a lighter and less obtrusive camera ( % 9.17) I was unaware that the M uses the same LP-E batteries as the M and would again be carrying a spare battery ( % 0.00) It is possible, but inconvenient, to get a battery to last all day if you switch the camera off between shots ( % -20.00) I find this to be inexcusable for a seven hundred dollar camera ( % 0.00) I'm planning a trip to Europe after the COVID- pandemic eases up ( % 0.00) I will most likely replace this camera with a micro four thirds camera, either an Olympus or a Panasonic, before I go ( % 25.00) ( % 0.00)

A very capable camera that didn't end up being for me I recently adopted an incredibly cute puppy and figured that it was the perfect opportunity/excuse to upgrade my ancient Canon D and get back into photography ( % 35.20) The M mkII does an excellent job in almost all respects ( % 100.00) Love the wireless connectivity and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the kit lens ( % 30.00) I've attached a couple shots of my puppy as an example of how it performs ( % 0.00) The camera felt very small so I ended up getting a cage (https://www ( % -32.50) amazon ( % 0.00) com/gp/product/BTTJC/) which bulked up the grip and made the camera feel much more substantial ( % 50.00) It is an essential accessory for this camera in my opinion ( % 0.00) NOTE: I tried the SmallRig brand first but their version blocks access to the WiFi button on the side of the camera so I returned it ( % 25.00) The cage I linked above doesn't have that issue ( % 0.00) Personal preference when it comes to the mirrorless technology and electronic viewfinder caused me to return the M mkII, but if that's not an issue for you I can highly recommend this camera ( % 8.00) It produces excellent images and is very good value for money ( % 95.50) ( % 0.00)

Worked for pictures ( % 0.00) Then, it stopped working! Mark II version is worth the Clean HDMI functionality for Zoomers and streamers ( % 33.33) Canon M mk II provides great imagery, in a light mirrorless (non full size sensor) form factor making it a great value for an entry level price (which is still a bit high) ( % 50.20) Both kit lenses that come in the "kit" packaging are quite slow but very lightweight hence convenient however much larger apertures would allow better low light capability and allow "bokah" and shorter depth of field effects ( % 13.33) ( % 0.00) ( % 0.00) The SIGMA mm fixed lens is much more ideal but not as versatile without zoom and costs almost as much as the M body ( % 42.50) As a secondary camera to my Canon D, I really like this camera but not the kit lenses ( % -5.00) I also bought a EF-M to EF-S lens adapter to utilize my wide array of EF-S lenses on the M's EF-M lens mount ( % -10.00) ( % 0.00)

A no-brainer! Good little camera I sent back a Canon D Mark II camera after purchasing it for my wife for Christmas to replace the Rebel EOS Ti she has had for years ( % 17.08) She said it was too big and heavy and lacked an on-board flash ( % -10.00) I decided on this mirrorless camera instead ( % 0.00) She loves it! Takes good quality pictures with MP crop sensor and the built in flash is adequate for her non professional applications ( % 37.78) It seems a little small but the bundled lenses balance it well ( % -21.88) An adapted EOS lens may make feel a little front heavy though ( % -19.38) Overall, though, I am pleased! Great purchase! They fixed most of what was wrong with the Mark I I'll just cut to the chase and list all the secret things you need to know to use this camera effectively as a vlogger: ( % 6.00) Just to be clear, the Mark II features completely clean HDMI with AF enabled ( % 23.33) I used it yesterday ( % 0.00) ( % 0.00) You can get a special battery from Canon or any number of third-party suppliers that allows you to plug the camera into a standard wall socket so you never have to worry about batteries going dead ( % 5.24) ( % 0.00) Most non-camcorder-style consumer cameras include a -minute auto-shutoff "feature" ( % 50.00) They do this to avoid paying EU import taxes on video cameras (yeah, I know) ( % 0.00) Paying another $, or even switching to another brand won't help you to avoid this particular cripple hammer ( % 16.67) However, Canon engineers did have mercy on us and wrote the fix for this into the Canon EOS Utility software (free download from canon ( % 40.00) com) ( % 0.00) Just connect the camera to any Windows or Mac computer (via USB) and run the utility ( % 0.00) Note this is a completely different app from the Canon EOS Webcam Utility ( % 0.00) ( % 0.00) The Canon webcam utility is a joke ( % 0.00) Just get a USB-HDMI dongle for $ and use OBS or whatever to capture the video ( % 0.00) You don't need the Elgato expensiveness unless you're actually serious about recording in K ( % -33.33) The cheap ones will stream P just fine ( % 40.83) Hope this has been helpful ( % 0.00) Happy vlogging! Too complicated So you look at the YouTube videos and the focus is for doing videos, not pictures ( % -50.00) Simple things like taking pictures with a second delay, you have to find it within the menu options ( % 0.00) There are specific settings that are required by art festival juries, but the menu is difficult to understand, so I end up just using the hybrid auto selection ( % -25.00) Pictures aren't bad in that mode, but not what I expected either ( % -40.00) This Canon EOS M- is much like a digital SLR, except it's more compact ( % 23.33) Bottom line, it's difficult to enter the settings required and there's redundancy at every turn, making this camera more suited for the professional and less for the amateur ( % -6.33) ( % 0.00)
